    Alumni Achievement: Our Medical Electronics department PG Student, Ms. Vichal and her Guide, Prof.Abhishek Appaji (Alumnus Medical Electronics 2010) received Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards (GYTI) 2016 for their Innovative Idea "Device For Intrapartum Materno-fetal Care". This event was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. BMSCE was one of the top 15 BIRAC SRISTI grant Awardees which received a grant of 15 lakhs.. A quick glance of the GYTI is as floows: 2363 nominations 276 Institutions/Universities 26 states and 2 Union territory from India 125 Jury members from R&D Institutes across the globe 4 rounds of vigorous evaluation including novelty search 43 finalists 28 appreciations 15 awardees of Rs15 Lakh BIRAC-DBT grant The other 14 institutions who got the Award are: 11 from IITs/IISc 01 JNCAR 01 Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai 01 SCET, Calicut University, Kerala Hearty Congratulations to Vichal and Abhishek!
